Too be honest, tombs have always kind of freaked me out. I always get freaky Indiana Jones vibes. Regardless, these Chinese tombs are actually quite interesting.
Tombs are basically just enclosed space for the remains of dead people. That’s the simple way to put it. What makes these Chinese tombs so interesting? To start, certain tombs represent ancient Chinese warriors of Qin Shihuang. There are of course other tombs for other people of notice but, to see warriors having their own tomb is pretty cool. Other people of notice are servants and dancers. What makes them special though?
The interesting part about certain dancers and servants having tombs is that they put into a tomb with a certain position! Pretty cool right? For example, servants are put in tombs kneeling or standing while dancers have certain dance positions. Usually when you think of a tomb you think of someone as stiff as board with their hands by there sides. It is also interesting to note that there was a good chance that they were buried naked. Some were buried without certain limbs as well (not just limited to servants and dancers). Either way, the fact these people had they own positions based on their occupation is really cool fact.
