What a jam-packed week. A lot of things going on in the world including taking some time to improve the stick drawing skills. As we all know by now, Artisans are very skilled individuals. That’s basic knowledge at this point. So, I’ll get into three new things I learned about Artisans this past week.
Artisans are ranked at the bottom of the social ladder: In my previous blog post, I mentioned that the order of the social ladder is Nobles, officials, and scholars. Artisans and their hard work do make this “social ladder”. Why were they unable to climb this social ladder?
Expectations for Artisans were completely outlandish: The people on top of the social ladder were delusional when it came to Artisans, to be honest. They expected perfect creations every single time an Artisan worked on one of their crafts. Obviously, Artisans were very good at one they did but they were held to a ridiculously high standard.
Artisans had Qiao: This word indicates the great skill an artisan has. This is the main reason that Artisans even had recognition. If it was not for this word, I am not sure that Artisans would have even have had recognition.
