My Bibliography for my Final Project

Schafer, Edward H. The Golden Peaches of Samarkand: A Study of Tang Exotics. Berkeley: University of California Press, 1985.

I choose this source because this source is where I got the idea for my final project. This has a list of various different exotic items that can be used to compare to items in Minecraft. Not only does it have exotics like gold and lapis Lazuli but it also has other Minecraft items like sugar cane and milk.

Northrup, Cynthia Clark. Encyclopedia of World Trade: From Ancient times to the Present. London: Routledge, 2015.

I choose this next source because it gives even better in depth descriptions of some of the exotics mentioned before. I really like the descriptions of diamonds and iron to be specific. The first source will be my main go to but this source is a good additional source to address more details on certain exotics. Not to mention is has plenty of information on other landmarks and items if I end up choosing to include something extra.

Liu, Xinru. The Silk Road in World History. New York: Oxford Univ. Press, 2010.

https://muhlenberg.on.worldcat.org/oclc/646816188

I choose these source because I think it helps to give a good brief history on Ancient China. I want to be able to describe some of Chinese history to lead into my main topic. it also covers the Silk Road really well which I think is important.
