My Reflection on the Early Chinese Tombs

As I move forward in learning about Chinese history in this class, I become more and more impressed every time with what I learn. Since we are approaching fall, it would only be appropriate to study something spooky. This week I learned more about Chinese tombs than I thought I would. I didn’t learn spooky things, I actually learned really cool facts about what Chinese Tombs represent.

The first thing I learned was that there we dedicated tombs for the ancient Chinese warriors of Qin Shihuang: I know in today’s time we have specific grave sights for soldiers who fought for our country. I could have assumed China had a similar process but seeing that it is true is very cool!

Secondly, certain tombs had people buried a certain way: I found this really cool, servants, dancers, warriors, etc. were each buried a certain way. A dancer would be buried in a dance position and servants would buried holding up a tray or whatever type of servant they were.

Third, how well made they are! These tombs truly are a work of art. I always knew that ancient Chinese art was fantastic, but the way these tombs were constructed make them timeless!
