Money is the root of almost anything. Today money can be used for pretty much anything. Throughout time the way your purchased things has evolved. People still trade but it is a lot less common then it was back in the day. Eventually money became a thing and reached Ancient China. So, how did money affect Ancient China?

Money became a huge deal in the Ming Dynasty. It became a new way to exchange currency for items. It was a very big deal for many villages across China. For the first time, people across many villages were able to collect and use this money to get items. While it is nice to have this money, it was not all flowers and sunshine’s, there always has to be a problem.

Huizhou mentioned the enormous power of money. Money is good but with money comes power and greed. People came up with moral guidance calculations because of the fear that money would mess up the morals of the people of China. Money was also related to cultural meaning. Money was tied to the “God of Wealth” which has to do with ritual life in Ancient China and current day China.
